Turkey Nest Desludge SV100

The time critical Turkey Nest Desludge SV100 from Solidsvac was the simplest, fastest and most economical option for this mill. On-site and operational withing 2 hours immediately removed a couple of operational issues for the working timber mill. The alternative option was multiple vac-truck loads, with over 50% of the desludging hours being lost to travel time. The Solidsvac was also able to operate unmanned for extended periods reducing the demand on mill manpower.

The turkey nest desludge using the SV100 took just 16 hours of pumping impressing both owner and operations manager. Allowing 5 days for the desludging the first of two ponds, the mill operators were able to complete both in 4. Total cost savings were not divulged; the 750 cubes would have required an estimated 75+ vac-truck loads. (Note: This involved a 90-minute return trip to dump)
