Pumping Crude Oil Safely

Using an SV150 continuous vacuum loading solids pump to pump crude oil safely is certainly a well proven method. Numerous petrochemical tank cleaning operators use the Solidsvac units due to their IECEx Zone 0 certification. The SV150 has the ability to vacuum load from a significant distance and transfer the crude several hundred metres. This allows the crude to be pumped back into the works or alternatively to another process or facility on site.

When connected to a robotic crawler, the Solidsvac SV150’s 25″Hg of continuous vacuum ensures a high level of productivity can be maintained. The compact unit can be sited adjacent to the tank or vessel with compressed air supplied from a remote location. Please note that use of FRAS or Fire Resistant Anti-Static hoses is imperative when transferring or handling hydrocarbons. All Solidsvac pumps are supplied with an Operation Manual complete with draft RA and SOP ready for any site-specific additions.
