Pumping Tank Bottom Sludge
Pumping tank bottom sludge is a straightforward operation using Solidsvac equipment like the SV70, SV100 or SV150 vacuum loading solids pumps. A high degree of mobility combined with powerful vacuum ensure Solidsvac lead the way in tank cleaning. Compatible with robotic crawlers allows for the non-person entry when pumping tank bottom sludge. Readily capable of loading heavy sludges from over 50 metres away and delivering the same over 400+m is valuable. A Solidsvac also becomes the unit of choice when access is difficult, or site restrictions sees significant distances involved.
Whilst using multiple SV70 and SV100 solids pumps allows for tank cleaning operations to be carried out fast. The SV150 delivers continuous transfer and when combined with multiple receival skips, the process and/or robot can run 24/7. Circulating the sludge with an SV70 can be beneficial as this is often the most economical means of breaking the material. The Solidsvac will pass large particles up to 70% of the solids pumps suction hose diameter. This action means you don’t need to fluidise the entire volume of material to be transferred.
The Solidsvac Vac-Pack combined with recovery tanks also provides non-stop vacuum which can lift 35 m vertically. With no moving parts, the zero wear Vac-Pack and all Solidsvac units are IECEx Zone 0 and 1 Certified.
