SV40 Vacuum Loads Grease

The SV40 vacuum loads grease from the main bearing race on an iron ore bucket wheel reclaimer in WA. The operation was carried out at the Fortescue Anderson Point operation in Port Hedland. The Solidsvac SV40 employed by Civmec for the task, completed the grease removal both safely and in record time.

Requiring only 80cfm (Less than a 2″ diaphragm pump) meant the unit was not only robust and mobile, but super efficient. The single lever operation and a QR code that gives the pump operator access to the online manual, meant immediate productivity.

Supplied as a rental unit, to Civmec who advised their client, Fortescue was very impressed with the performance. Civmec have since added the Solidsvac SV40 to its equipment inventory. Solidsvac also provided a modified Vac-Head tool which proved invaluable given access was only 50mm (2″) in most locations. After the SV40 vacuum loads grease, it was pumped around 30+ metres to ICB’s for safe storage prior to recycling.
