Solidsvac 35mtr Vertical Lift

The Solidsvac 35mtr vertical lift removing FPSO oil sludge tank bottoms was deemed, “extraordinary” by the equipment’s operator. Tight access meant total vacuum distance was around 60-70 metres with 50% of that being vertical. The sludge, scale and grit with an Sg of 1.8 was conveyed vertically using the Solidsvac Vac-Pack.

TIG used the Vac-Pack to deliver a 35mtr vertical lift via the manhole on the Shell Bonga FPSO. The Vac-Pack recovered the sludge directly into two vacuum rated skips enabling non-stop vacuum. The Solidsvac Vac-Pack reduces the number of workers inside the tank and needs only minimal deck space. 100% pneumatic and IECEx Zone 0 & 1 Certified ensures a significantly safer work environment.
